The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
